Okay, I know what you may be thinking: Wow, Jersey, this Sculpture of Trespass looks so much neater than previous pieces! What did you do to have this effect?
As many of you may know, whenever I craft Sculptures such as this one shown above, I have to undergo the process of creating the piece with a limited amount of clay, baking the clay without cracking or burning the work, and the worst of all- Painting over the hardened product. You see, white clay is my regular media when crafting such pieces, and while this may sound like a wonderful plan from the start, I assure you- It's not.
The paint-work is difficult, messy, and regularly finishes very sloppy, which of course ruins the entire mood of the work previously completed. There are those rare cases when the painting does come out rather decent, though it is not as if it matters anyhow- For once I apply the glossy Mod Podge, the colors begin to blend together, which presumably, is not very good, either. :/
What does any of this information have to do with the question above, you ask? Ahh, I recently was capable of getting ahold of a package of more Sculpey to add to my current collection- Not any ordinary Sculpey, but as you may have predicted already, Multi-colored Sculpey. What does this mean for me? No more painting! Once I figured this out, I thought that I should test the clay, with a colorful character- Trespass! ^.^
That's the story behind this and its' sudden neatness. Now, the background. Ahh, I knew it was the Autumn season, and since I did add his scarf, I figured it'd be logical to place him upon a pile of leaves. I may Submit a few more pictures of him later, but for now, please enjoy this one here! ^.^
